  1. What is a "proof"?
    A proof is a way of ensuring that we have set your type accurately and that everything is positioned according to your requirements.

    Typically, we will produce a proof which will either be sent to you in pdf format through our Online Customer Service Centre, or printed on paper to be viewed in our Customer Service Centre, sent via fax or delivered to you in person.

    On multiple color jobs, we can produce a color representation proof on our color output device to show how the different colors will appear.

  2. Why do I need to look at a proof if I've already given you everything I need to have done?
    We employ human beings to produce your work and, last time we checked, we humans are still not infallible! Your approval on the final proof is assurance that you have looked over every aspect of our work and approve it as accurate. It benefits everyone if errors are caught in the proofing process rather than after the job is completed and delivered.

  3. Do I still need to approve a proof if I bring my work in on disk?
    Technology is a wonderful thing... when it works! Both font and formatting issues may exist between your computer and ours. We always prefer a confirmation that what we are about to print is what you are expecting.

  4. How long does it take for you to complete my order?
    The "old school" calculation was one day per color / procedure. Modern technology has sped up that time frame. But the final answer is that every job we produce is customized for you. At the time of order we will discuss timelines that meet our requirements to produce a quality job and your timelines for delivering your product!

  5. What if I need something you don't produce in your plant?
    Zippy Print & Imaging has developed a number of relationships with top quality "trade" suppliers. If we are unable to produce your job in our facility, we know someone who can and our staff continues to manage your job from start to finish.

  6. How do I go about getting an estimate from you?
    Well, since you are here, we suggest you use our online estimate request. Otherwise, the best way to ensure that we get all the information necessary to prepare an accurate quote is for you to talk directly with one of our Customer Service staff.
